I have been bilingual in Italian and English since birth and, in addition, for almost 30 years I have lived in Berlin, which has allowed me to deepen my knowledge of German acquired during my studies in interpreting and translation in Italy. My specialisations are in the fields of Medicine, Pharmaceuticals, Law, Economics and Plant Engineering.
I work as a conference interpreter at various events relating to politics, the pharmaceutical industry, at corporate events, trade fairs such as the Grüne Woche, FruitLogistica, ITB and in the cultural sector such as the Berlinale.
I am of course also available as a negotiations interpreter. Absolute discretion and confidentiality are of course guaranteed.
My language combinations as a conference interpreter are:
- German ⟷ Italian
- Italian ⟷ English
- German ⟷ English
These are just some of the companies and areas I have worked for as a negotiations interpreter:
- Austrial Law Firm and experts for investigations carried out in Germany in the technical field
- The Italian Ministry of Defence
- The Australian Ministry of Defence
- The German Ministry of Defence
- GKV Spitzenverband (German Umbrella Association of Health Insurances)
- Interviews at the Berlinale among others with Tornatore
- Accompanying American doctors visiting health facilities in Germany
I completed my studies as an interpreter and translator in 1990 at the Scuola Superiore per Interpreti e Traduttori in the languages Italian-English and German in Florence.
As soon as I finished my studies I moved to Germany where I worked immediately, following reunification, at the Italian Chamber of Commerce for Germany in Leipzig. I subsequently moved to Berlin where I worked for a law firm as a translator and interpreter before starting my own business in 1996 when I also took the oath at the Berlin Court as a certified translator and interpreter for Italian<>English German<>Italian German<>English and became a member of the German Association of Interpreters and Translators followed by membership in the German Association of Conference Interpreters.
